J Street gives political voice to mainstream American Jews and other
supporters of Israel
who, informed by their progressive and Jewish values, believe that a
two-state solution to
the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is essential to Israel’s survival as
the national home of the
Jewish people and as a vibrant democracy. J Street’s mission is two
fold: first, to
advocate for urgent American diplomatic leadership to achieve a
two-state solution and a
broader regional, comprehensive peace and, second, to ensure a broad
debate on Israel
and the Middle East in national politics and the American Jewish community.

J Street believes that Israel’s most vital security interest is to reach
a negotiated two-state
solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. This is not only a
necessity for securing
Israel’s future as a democratic, Jewish homeland, but also vital to
America’s diplomatic
and security interests with respect to the broader Middle East. J Street
seeks to promote
American leadership to resolve conflicts in the Middle East through
diplomacy and
achieve security for Israel and the United States through peace.

J Street is an American organization, primarily but not exclusively
Jewish, that believes
American, Israeli, Palestinian, and global interests are best served by
a comprehensive,
regional resolution to the region’s conflicts through assertive American
diplomacy.
The J Street family of organizations includes J Street – a 501(c)(4)
nonprofit that is
responsible for lobbying and advocacy; JStreetPAC – a legally
independent and

programs on campuses, speakers tours, and trips to Israel. The New Media

WEB PRESENCE, DATABASES, NEW MEDIA DEPARTMENT:
Since J Street’s founding nearly 3 years ago, our online and new media

central to our success. We have leveraged new media, online videos, and
traditional
forms of email based online organizing to get our message out, grow our
lists of
supporters, and generate positive media coverage.

v'Shalom to the J
Street Family under the banner of its new national field program - J
Street Local. One of

supporters into our offline
activity using the online channel.

JStreetU.org. Both J
Street and JStreetPAC’s websites operate with a Drupal content
management system,
while J Street U employs Wordpress. Some parts of these sites use an
alternative custom
content management system.

J Street’s central database, where our email blast tool, advocacy,
fundraising, event
management, and local group tools are managed, is housed in Salsa on the
WiredForChange platform. JStreetPAC uses NGP to manage its database.
